PLEASE DON’T PICK THE PANSIES

“Please don’t pick the Pansies” is a learning story that teaches children to respect other people’s property. Miss Audrey is upset because the children toss her pansies to the road on their way to school. She cannot believe her eyes when she sees the pansies wilt and play dead so the children won’t harm them. Ms. Audrey understands that the pansies have feelings just as humans do and conveys her message of respecting others’ property by placing a huge sign in her yard saying, “Please Don’t Pick the Pansies.”
